Proprietary Appartus
People often ask, where did we get our equipment?
Certainly you can see the influence of Pilates in our apparatus, and some pieces resemble a squat rack, but mostly it came from the mind of Chris Pike.
We are especially proud of our sprung floor. Ballet dancers will tell you that every floor has its own character, or tamber, like a musical instrument. A floor should be firm, but still absorb of the energy of impact. It should have some rebound, while not being bouncy.
We went through five or six iterations of this floor over a period of four years before we arrived at the current design. Our sprung floor has four layers of alternating wood sleepers (a term from the carpentry business) that bend with impact.
